Coming Alive

I am starting to come alive. I have cut my hair and gone natural. I wear my hair in a punk rock style but I think that it just shows more of my personality. One of my friends jokes that I am like no other Black woman she knows because I do not wear my hair in regular "black hair manners." I truly am a ROCK STAR and I do me and only me. I am continuously evolving into the person that I have always seen myself as. Life is beautiful because I can see my growth.

My sister and mentor AW has helped me a lot with this process because even though I am not a shy person I AM A SCARY WEIRDO and YES I have embraced that identity. I know who I am and hoped that over the next few months my blog will show my progress and the readers will see the growth too.
